Daniel Ferris was born in Baltimore, MD in 1961.  He attended Baltimore area private schools from grades 1-12.  In 1979, he was graduated from Calvert Hall College High School, a Catholic boys school in Towson, Maryland.  He was graduated from Towson University with a B.S. degree in Music Performance (classical guitar) in January, 1987.  He has been a financial writer and researcher since December 1997.  Dan lives in Oregon with his wife and three children.  Dan is the editor of a monthly financial newsletter that enjoys a loyal following.
